When dancers come into the store and see the sign for our liturgical section one question that they have is: What is liturgical?
Liturgical dance is a type of dance that is performed during church services and depending on the holiday and time of the year the church directors may want to liven up the outfits. This is where liturgical overlays come in, but they are not just used in church performances.
These overlays are a great way to liven up any church performance. They come in a variety of different colors that can match the holiday and time of year that the church is celebrating.
Along with being a great way to liven up a church performance, these overlays can make a great costume as well. Dancers can wear a colored or black leotard under the overlays to create a simple yet beautiful costume.
