Pirouettes From the Past is a mini-series featuring Dr. Melissa Klapper, a history professor, who hosts a monthly class on the history of Ballet in America. In these classes, Dr. Klapper talks about everything from the history of the College Dance Departments in the U.S. to the history behind the Nutcracker. Some of the interesting lessons include the fabulous careers of Native American ballerinas in the mid-20th century and history of Ballet shown on TV.
