National Dance Day Orlando
National Dance Day was this past Saturday. We celebrated in Orlando with live performances, 30 free dance classes and of course the National Dance that was choreographed by Travis Wall was taught to all.
The Center for Contemporary Dance partnered with the Orlando Ballet with a day full of fun, and of course, dancing!
The morning had classes for all ages inside at the Orlando Ballet and outside at Cultural Park. There were classes in creative movement and a class for special needs children. The kids learned from some of the most graceful ballerinas, the teachers for the day were the dancers from Orlando Ballet.
Outside dancers of all ages participated in the warm-ups and learning of the official National Dance Day Routines.
Artistic Director of The Center for Contemporary Dance, Dario Moore welcomed all.
Warm-ups began bright and early with Myles Thoroughgood.
Studios and dancers from all around Orlando enjoyed the art of dance together!
Live Performances filled the second half of the morning!
We are already excited for next year, of course around here… Everyday is a DANCE DAY!
